Privacy policy

Last updated:

This page explains what data noti.media collects, why, and what your choices are. The short version: we collect as little as possible, our analytics are cookieless, and we never sell your data.

Who is responsible

noti.media is operated by its editorial team. For any privacy question or request, email editorial@noti.media — a person reads and answers it.

What we collect

Analytics: we use a self-hosted instance of Plausible Analytics, served from our own domain. It is cookieless and does not track you across sites; we only see aggregated, anonymous data (pages visited, country, browser type). No advertising IDs, no fingerprinting, no personal profiles.

Contact and advertiser forms: if you write to us or submit the advertising form, we store what you send (name, email, company, budget, message) solely to respond and manage the conversation.

Server logs: like virtually every website, our servers keep standard technical logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting. They are rotated and not used to profile visitors.

Cookies

Browsing noti.media as a reader currently sets no tracking cookies. The only cookie we set ourselves is a session cookie for our staff admin area, which regular visitors never receive.

If we introduce advertising that requires cookies (see below), we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it, via a consent banner.

Advertising & third parties

We may show advertising to fund our work, including ads served by Google AdSense. When third-party ads are active, vendors — including Google — may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and, with your consent where required, to personalise them based on your visits to this and other websites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at adssettings.google.com, and from many other vendors at www.aboutads.info/choices. Where consent is required (for example in the EEA and UK), ads will only use cookies according to the choice you make in the consent banner.

Affiliate links

Some articles contain affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The destination site may know you came from noti.media, but no personal data is shared by us beyond that referral.

Email & service providers

We send transactional email (for example, replies to your enquiries) through Resend, which processes the recipient address on our behalf. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data with anyone.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you (typically: messages you sent us). Email editorial@noti.media and we will act on it promptly. If you are in a jurisdiction with a data-protection authority, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with it.

Retention & security

We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to handle the conversation and meet legal obligations, and technical logs for a short rotation window. Data lives on servers we operate ourselves, protected with industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls).

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted.
